We want to thank everyone who came out to our show at Trees last Saturday--we had a killer time! We love playing shows where the crowd is excited and energetic and Trees crowds are always great. If you couldn't make it out, here are a few pics and videos from the night.
We're less than a week away from THE ORANGE playing main support for Jibe at Trees this Saturday (2/20). For those of you who weren't around in the late '90s-early '00s Jibe was the band in Dallas for years. Their song "Yesterday's Gone" rocketed up the U.S. rock charts to #26 and they toured with Marilyn Manson, The Toadies, and countless other national bands...until one day they disappeared. The band broke up without so much as a farewell show, and stayed broken up for 11 years, and now they're back! A few months ago they sold out Gas Monkey Live and now they're taking it to Trees this Saturday for the kind of show only Jibe can put on. We are beyond excited to play with a band we used to sneak into clubs to see. Don't miss this one!

As many of you have heard, Scott Weiland tragically passed away on his tour bus last night. Regardless of the circumstances, we want to express how fundamentally important and influential Scott Weiland was on the overall sound of THE ORANGE. Influences on our sound come from many themes and genres, but '90s alt-bands like Stone Temple Pilots certainly help keep us grounded in the rich American rock tradition of which we're so proud to be a part of. It also goes without saying we are saddened to realize we were on the mere cusp of playing with Scott and his new band The Wildabouts at Gas Monkey Live on December 12, a show that of course now appears will not be going forward. We met up with Scott at SXSW this past March when he and his band played a secret show and his personality both on and off stage was as magnetic and joyful as ever. When he was in his element he was as good as there ever was or will be. Requiescat In Pace, Mr. Weiland. For more of our thoughts on Scott Weiland, please read this interview done with our lead singer Scott Tucker by the Dallas Observer today. -- ORANGE HQ
